As most of you are aware, I have a very noisy cat by the name of Lola. Some of you have met her, some have only heard her melodicvoice. I took her to the vet last week for her yearly check up and at 11 she is in phenomenal health, mostly. She has a severely rotten tooth that’s going to need to be pulled out and will take an expensive procedure to do it – the estimate is between 770 and 1000$. I already have the appointment because this cat is my life and my priority but the whole thing is leaving me a little high and dry for moving across the country. So, commissions.

So a friend just linked me to this kickstarter, and it looks really fun. It’s a dating sim called Two Scoops, the description is:

Okay you guys know me by now, I haven’t been posting as much and said it was due to personal issues. Well now I need help. I do not like asking for help, neither does my mother, but we need help. Badly.
Some of you may know that I’ve been trying to get to a doctor for quite a while due to constantly being sick and such. Well, here’s the deal: My mother was in the hospital for a while, her thyroid is messed up and due to her autoimmune disease she’s unable to do many things. She has to take her medication or her life could be in danger… However, recently her work refused to let her work in sets of 2 days at a time, even knowing her condition. Several things happened and we were given seven days to leave the house.
This is having horrible effects on us. My mother needs surgery on her legs and I need to go to the doctor for various reasons. Please, if you can, help. If not reblogs are appreciated.
My mother and I do not have a home. The stress on both of us is unreal. The thing is, is that we have two dogs (Tyson and Aubie) who are not at all in any way used to or accustomed to staying outside. They’re being forced to stay outside but it’s affecting them badly due to the exposure of heat (even with shade and water) and their seperation anxiety. We do not want to get rid of them, they are our family.
If you don’t know already, Ii don’t exactly have a family to go stay with. At the moment we’re staying at one of her friends but even then we won’t be able to stay long. I have an education I need. Forever Dream Senior Dog Sanctuary, located in Tryon, NC, is at risk.
Last week a trusted volunteer, and close friend of the sanctuary owner for 30 years, shocked our entire community by stealing all of the sanctuary’s funds and disappearing.
Police reports have been filed, investigations are underway, but while all of that is going on, the sanctuary still has no funds. The local community is already helping out by donating what food and supplies they can, but tens of thousands of dollars worth of donations were stolen. That money goes towards keeping the sanctuary running.
Please, please help. Verna Wilkins, the sanctuary owner, is my friend, and I have had the privilege of working up close with the seniors and the sanctuary, and seeing the amazing work she does. The sanctuary is such a wonderful place. It not only provides forever homes and medical care to undesirable senior dogs, but Verna also rehabilitates feral seniors that were abandoned – something that happens all too often in this area.
Please, even one dollar helps. And if you can’t donate, getting this spread as far and wide as possible helps tremendously. Help save these dogs from having to be put down, or live their lives out in shelters without proper medical care or love.
I know I’ve done this for my own pets in the past, but this time it’s not for me. I know my followers have helped to save my own pets’ lives several times in the past by sharing and donating to causes that are not their own, and for that I am eternally grateful.
This time, I’m asking you all to help a friend of fine pay off some bills he’s accumulated over the tragic loss of his dog. Unfortunately, it was too late to save him, but we can hopefully ease the burden of grief for AJ without having to worry about paying off mass amounts of vet bills.
