the time has come to clean up my lodestar playlist for some writing mood tunes
I’m eager for fresh songs to add to the collection. do any of yall have some recs? doesn’t need to be a specific genre, just anything that gives you them lodestar feelios.
here’s some of the artists already on the playlist:

I’m currently working on updating the grigoriwings forum, which is where Resbang and Reverb is hosted. I’ll be changing the forum style and getting rid of ads and all kinds of fun stuff, but I need some help!
The forum will be upgraded to the responsive design style, which looks more or less like this: test forum
I am looking for BIGASS SE-themed banners and backgrounds, and possibly themed sets for subforums (for example: Resbang related banners for the Resbang section).
Here are the general placements:
Yellow: the main banner, which needs to say grigori wings on it someplace, i’m not terribly picky
Red: another banner thing?? optional idk
Blue: the background of the site. it’s big. it will probably tile in some way unless you make an enormous vertical image. just warning
I am open to edits, collages, fanart, whateva– as long as it looks nice and is hi-res. I am looking for anything SE/SENot! that involves all/most of the characters, Death City, or Shibusen. Gen stuff please.
This is also on a time crunch! I gotta get the forum ready for upgrading before the end of Reverb posting (7/31, last i heard), so this is a rush order. gosh i am probably the least qualified person to answer this question.
trying to look at the fic objectively, it is mostly Maka’s arc of the story that reflects the basics of the movie, whereas dtk (sort of), mifune, and black star’s arcs are more originally from me. I developed the shapeshifting, the old religion, the reasoning behind the war, and the extra characters filling roles that didn’t exist in the movie (harvar, stein, medusa, aahahah shit).
i do think seeing the movie will bring more meaning to the fic, and also help with the weirder visuals like the deer god, and while i’m not going to go so far as to say it is a requirement, this story might be a hardcore read? it’s not my generic casual style, in any case, and i leave a lot of stuff up to the reader to connect for themselves, so the movie may help you along in that regard. i tried to make this story something you can’t just breeze through– whether or not i succeeded is up for conjecture.
i would really love hear from people who have read the fic and not seen the movie to help me answer this!
(regardless of my fic, i would rec seeing the movie at least once in your life because it’s an old, classic ghibli and is worth every ounce of your time)

So hi everybody! I entered iotwcs in a fanfic contest on inkitt, and I think I have until the 21st of Oct to get enough votes to ride on the top 10% wagon train. Every vote helps me, so I humbly ask you, blessed lurker and/or excitable fanperson, if you have the time and you liked the story, please consider dropping in and giving these weird-ass spagettios and pickles a heart.
