time to blarg about stuff i’m working on, i suppose?
1) lodestar – this should surprise no one. it’s the one with cowboys that i haven’t updated in like three years but i’m still determined to finish it, by god
2) quantum entanglement – this should also surprise no one. anime trash/world of warcraft au in which maka is a main tank, soul is NOT spec’d for healing but ends up healing her anyway, and mainly focuses on the nature of various relationships over long distances. also soul’s love for cheap fake mexican food.
3) ask no questions – this might surprise a few. it’s a pseudo-au, in which maka realizes she’s living a lie, but can’t remember what the truth is either.
4) siren au – not much to say here. soul is the black guppy of the family and is a pescatarian much to the distress of his traditional man-eating family.
5) vampire au – a sitcom-esque comedy in which soul is a (mostly) human who looks like his vampire brother, maka is the daughter of a prestigious vampire who looks like a girl scout and has a mild case of what i can only call the blood-sucking equivalent to celiac disease. Maka is assigned through a government-assisted vampire placement service to live with half-breed soul because his blood won’t damage her internal organs. tl;dr they become reluctant roommates, vigilantes keep trying to assassinate soul coz he looks scary, but they totally ignore maka so she kicks all their asses.
6) top secret au – i mean. like it says. =3c
7) lawgiver – my original fic. i’m not sure how to even describe it, but i’m aiming for a low-key-dystopian, science fiction retelling of the story of moses? but with clones? idk. i haven’t figured it all out yet. there’s a lot of elemental-calling and guns and mass murder and clones and trying to understand what defines a soul and how far one can go without it.
