Hey guys, as I posted about a couple months ago, my 11 year old cat Lola has a tooth that needs to be pulled. The problem that they ran into when I first scheduled her surgery though, is that there are some unknown complications with her heart that could make anesthesia dangerous for her. The vet told me that it would be fine for a few months so I could sort it out after moving across the country.
I am now on the other side of the country while Lola adjusted well to the move, she is struggling to eat. I already took her in for an initial check-up and nothing is wrong with her besides the tooth, but they want a cardiologist to look at her heart before doing the procedure. She now has pain medication and antibiotics to hold her over until we go to the cardiologist in a couple of weeks, but it’s turning into a long and expensive process.
I’m so thankful to everyone who has already contributed, it’s helped me pay for her basic care, blood work, and medication. Next step is figuring out exactly what the problem is with her heart.
